Empowering the Next Generation of Scientists
Developing young minds in Bangladesh to represent the nation on the global stage through rigorous scientific inquiry and excellence.
Gateway to the Global Science Excellence
The Bangladesh Junior Science Olympiad (BdJSO) is the national science Olympiad for school students in Bangladesh, organized by the Society for the Popularization of Science, Bangladesh (SPSB). Since its inception in 2015, BdJSO has been dedicated to discovering, inspiring, and nurturing young scientific talents through Olympiad-based learning, advanced training, and international exposure.
Over the past 12 years, BdJSO has become one of Bangladesh's leading science education initiatives, engaging tens of thousands of students from schools across the country. The Olympiad follows a comprehensive selection process, including the School Olympiad, Regional Olympiad, National Olympiad, National Training Camp, Team Selection Camp, and International Training Camp, ensuring that the most talented students receive world-class preparation in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Laboratory Skills, and Scientific Reasoning.
Embark on the International Journey
Discovery through Inquiry
Since Bangladesh's IJSO debut in 2015, Team Bangladesh has won 45 medals over eleven years, including 15 Silver and 30 Bronze Medals. Inspired by this success, BdJSO continues to develop young scientists through world-class training and international exposure. Beyond the Olympiad, BdJSO promotes science nationwide through competitions, training camps, teacher development, workshops, outreach programs, and collaborations with schools, universities, science clubs, and volunteers. By fostering curiosity, innovation, critical thinking, and scientific excellence, BdJSO inspires future scientists, researchers, innovators, and leaders for Bangladesh.
